• Create, edit, and store personal code snippets.
• Tag snippets and filter/search by tag or language.
• Keep snippets private or share them publicly via a link and embeddable widget.
• See basic analytics like total views and recent activity.

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum legal age in your jurisdiction) to use the Service.

• Provide accurate, up-to-date information.
• Maintain the confidentiality of your credentials.
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

Ownership: You retain ownership of the code snippets and other content you submit.

License for Public Snippets: When you mark a snippet public, you grant us a non‑exclusive, worldwide, royalty‑free license to host, display, and distribute it through the Service (including the embeddable widget) solely to operate and improve the Service.

Responsibility: You are responsible for your content and must ensure it is lawful, non‑infringing, and safe (no malware or secrets/keys).

• Using the Service for unlawful purposes or to violate others’ rights.
• Attempting to access, probe, or test systems without authorization.
• Uploading malicious code, credentials, or confidential third‑party data.
• Interfering with or degrading the Service (spam, abuse, excessive load).

Public snippets are visible to anyone with the link and may appear in public listings or search results. Once public, they can be copied or shared by others. Avoid posting secrets, credentials, or sensitive information.

The Service (software, design, branding, and features) is owned by Snippetbox and protected by applicable IP laws. This does not include user‑generated content you submit.

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (or parts of it) at any time with reasonable notice when practical.

The widget renders public snippets on third‑party sites. You are responsible for where and how you embed it. We may update the widget’s behavior or appearance to improve performance and security.

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim all warranties to the fullest extent permitted by law, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness, and non‑infringement.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill.

We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases; certain provisions (including IP, disclaimers, and liability limits) survive termination.

We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we’ll provide reasonable notice. Your continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
